Financial Assistance
Dovercourt offers its own financial assistance program for residents of the City of Ottawa. We process applications once per family, per calendar year. Program subsidies will be granted based on a review of annual income and the number of individuals within a family unit. Subsidies, if approved, are provided to each member of a family in the form of assistance funds. These funds can be used on purchases online, in person, or over the phone, until the subsidy has been used completely per person.
As a local charity, subsidy funding priority is given to those living within our designated catchment area, which includes the area bordered by:
- the Ottawa River to the North
- Parkdale Avenue to the East
- Carling and/or the Queensway (whichever is furthest) to the South,
- and the Western Parkway to the west.
If you reside outside of this catchment, but are still a resident of the City of Ottawa, you are still welcome to apply, but are also encouraged to apply to the City of Ottawa’s ‘Hand in Hand’ program, for use in City of Ottawa-run centres. Click to see a map of our catchment.
Financial Assistance Form
Use the Dovercourt Financial Assistance Form (pdf), which you can e-fill and email to [email protected] or print, fill out and return to Dovercourt (by mail or in person). Please be sure to provide all required supporting documentation, and please note that it can take up to 14 days to process the applications.
