Welcome to the fabulous and exciting world of fermentation! With guidance, students will learn how to make three popular fermented beverages: kombucha, water kefir and milk kefir. The class will cover an overview of fermentation and its benefits, the history of these 3 fermented beverages.The equipment needed for home fermentation, ingredient selection, bottling demonstration and common problems and how to solve them.
Students will go home with instructions on how to make all three beverages and taste test all three beverages. Students will also go home with a jar with a scoby/starter, milk kefir grains or water kefir grains.
