New registration system

We switched registration systems in Dec. 2019.
It lets you easily access your family’s account, print tax receipts (*for tax year 2019, see note below), view your family’s programs in calendar form, buy a pool or fitness pass online, and more.

What do you need to do?

  • You can make your new client account on our account page and then you’ll be set up and ready to go!
  • You can browse our programs on almost every program page of the website.

Note: For the 2019 tax year, you can request a childcare tax receipt by emailing info@dovercourt.org. If you encounter any problems with this, please contact Tyler Skerkowski at tskerkowski@dovercourt.org

If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service team at info@dovercourt.org

We believe in the service and programs that we provide to the community. If you find that a program is not meeting your expectations please let us know. Our Program Directors want to keep improving their programs and your feedback is invaluable.

Full credit, or refunds less a $10 admin fee, will be provided up to 14 days in advance of the program start date, unless otherwise stated. Prorated refunds will be given with a medical certificate for all programs.

An Administration fee of $10 will apply to all customer-requested refunds, excluding medical situations.

From January 2nd until April 30th of each year, summer camps can be purchased and paid for on a payment plan. The plan requires a credit card or EFT information to provided at the time of payment. An upfront payment of 50% of the total cost will be due at the time of purchase, while the remaining 50% of each individual camp purchased will be automatically withdrawn 3 weeks before that camp takes place. The refund and credit policy above applies to any payments made using the payment plan.

Some of our programs have plastic membership cards that clients scan at the Customer Service Desk each time they come to participate e.g. Dovercourt fitness pass and Gold Club Passes, and Pool passes. There will be a $2 replacement fee for lost cards.

Sometimes a class must be cancelled for reasons beyond our control. We will do our best to reschedule if time and space allow.

NOTE: Schedules and fees subject to change based on program demand. Your understanding is appreciated. Full refunds are always given if a class is cancelled.

Financial Assistance

Dovercourt offers its own financial assistance program for residents of the City of Ottawa. We process applications once per family, per calendar year. Program subsidies will be granted based on a review of annual income and the number of individuals within a family unit. Subsidies, if approved, are provided to each member of a family in the form of assistance funds. These funds can be used on purchases online, in person, or over the phone, until the subsidy has been used completely per person.

As a local charity, subsidy funding priority is given to those living within our designated catchment area, which includes the area bordered by:

  • the Ottawa River to the North
  • Parkdale Avenue to the East
  • Carling and/or the Queensway (whichever is furthest) to the South,
  • and the Western Parkway to the west.

If you reside outside of this catchment, but are still a resident of the City of Ottawa, you are still welcome to apply, but are also encouraged to apply to the City of Ottawa’s ‘Hand in Hand’ program, for use in City of Ottawa-run centres. Click to see a map of our catchment.

Details about our program are on page 3 of the Dovercourt Financial Assistance Form, which you can fill out and return to Dovercourt (in person or by email to Tyler at tskerkowski@dovercourt.org). Please be sure to provide all required supporting documentation, and please note that it can take up to 14 days to process the applications.
