SPORTS
INSTRUCTION FOR CHILDREN – www.sportball.ca
Sportball is a unique non-competitive sports program
for young children between the ages of 16 months to
8 yrs that recognizes the importance of developing fundamental
movement skills in the early years. Programs are carefully
designed and focus on improving gross motor skills,
physical strength, social skills and self-esteem. Through
creative instruction, customized sports equipment and
positive encouragement, children have the opportunity
to learn and participate in sport in a fun and exciting
environment.
Sportball programs focus on 7 popular ball sports: Hockey,
Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Tennis and
Golf. Children are taught the fundamental skills of
each sport and have the opportunity to practice and
refine these skills individually and in game situations.
Creative games and activities are also integrated into
classes, which allow children to interact with peers
while learning skills essential for sport.
