These fun classes are great activities for your young preschooler. Select from our art, sport, play and music programs as well as our preschool dance classes. Programs are designed to provide educational activities to foster social, physical and cognitive development.

Preschool Dance Classes

See Dovercourt Dance School for classes in Hip Hop, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Ballet/Jazz.

Program definitions & descriptions:

On My Own Programs are programs in which children should be able to participate on their own. In most cases we request that parents remain at Dovercourt but we encourage you to relax and put your feet up in our comfortable lobby.

With a Grown-up Classes are programs for younger children and parents and caregivers are required to participate with their little ones.

Sportball
Parents can have a direct hand in a preschooler's development through 7 different ball sports. Parent & Tot classes teach children important introductory physical skills and help them to develop confidence in their abilities. The programs also help Parents understand techniques that can be applied outside of Sportball classes.
Ages 2 - 5years

Each KindermusiK® class is a world of discovery and adventure. In every class, you'll witness your child's developmental evolution in language skills, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills, self-esteem, and musicality. And it happens within a nurturing environment-full of energy, imagination, music, dancing, and playful delight.
Age: Newborn -5 years old

Teeter Tots
This is Dovercourt’s Cooperative Preschool Program. Two hours of fun with activities designed for children aged 2 to 4 years. Songs, games, circle time, crafts, snack time, outdoor activities and free play in a warm and welcoming environment. Parents are required to assist in the class a minimum of once during the session. Age: 2-4 years old

FUN FAIR
Through lightly guided, unstructured play, children are encouraged to explore their world while developing fine and gross motor skills, visual and spatial awareness and social interaction. Play stations, sensory tables, crafts and other activities each class are selected to stimulate your child's development.
Age 2 - 5 years old

CLAY TOTS & CLAY PLAY
Preschoolers will create amazing clay masterpieces, treasures that will last a lifetime. These works of art are fired and then glazed. Focus will be on process rather than product so the true abilities of the child can come out.
Age: Newborn - 5 years old

GYM & SWIM
Tumble, roll, jump and play on land and in the water. The first half of each class starts on land with gross motor skill development activities such as basic gymnastics. Then, children enjoy a mix of structured and unstructured playtime in the pool. *Parents must remain in the building during program time and assist their child in changing for the swim.
Age: 3 -5 years old

NO WAY PLAY “WITH A GROWN-UP”
A perfect chance for you and your preschooler to play all the messy games and crafts you wouldn't dare do at home. Create some chaos at our place playing with glitter, glue, finger paints, face paints and other "fun stuff" such as shaving cream! Parents and children need to dress for a mess.
