Dog
Manners with Shake-a-Paw Dog Training
At Shake-a-Paw Dog Training
we teach dog owners how rewarding it is to relate
to one's dogs in a positive manner. We encourage
participation from the whole family. Our goal
is to provide owners with enough knowledge of
dog behaviour and how dogs learn, so that long
after the class is completed, owners can teach
new behaviours, thus preventing problem behaviours
from developing by using proper management techniques.
Shake-a-Paw Dog training
has developed a program which is centered around
household manners for the pet. Walking on leash,
teaching calm greetings to other dogs and people,
coming when called, what to do about nipping,
what to do about jumping are just some of the
subjects that will be covered in our beginner
class. Training should be fun for the whole family;
children are encouraged to take a role in training
the dog so a mutual understanding can be learned.
Remember it is far easier to teach your dog the
proper habits than to try to alter bad habits
later.
