Health & Fitness Schedules are available on the Schedules Page & at the Centre.

Dovercourt Winter fitness programs including Group Fitness, Spinning, Specialty, Pilates, Yoga, Strength, aquafitness, Fitness Centre


Unlimited Fitness Pass: Group Fitness & Fitness Centre

Our 1 month & 3 month plans include:

  • convenient automatic renewal option
  • access to unlimited fitness classes
  • unlimited visits to the Fitness Centre (Weight room)

As of Feb. 1, 2010:

  • the 1 month plan ($39.50/ mo) will require automatic renewal
  • the 3 month plan ($112/ 3 mo) does not require auto renewal, however those with auto renewal receive an Orientation to the Fitness Centre
  • Passes may be cancelled without penalty, and may be suspended for illness or vacation however some conditions apply; please consult Customer Service.

These passes may not be shared. Buy your passes at the Centre, from either desk (upstairs Main, or downstairs Pool desk)

Other options:

  • 10 visit pass - $75, valid for 60 days from purchase
  • Group Fitness or Fitness Centre Drop in - $8.50

We have two types of programs: Registered & Membership

Registered programs
include Specialty, Pilates, Yoga, Aquafitness, Spinning and Strength classes. Sign up for a particular class and attend from the beginning of the session until the end. Classes that do not meet a minimum number of participants may be cancelled at the beginning of the session, so be sure to sign up early!

Membership programs include our Group Fitness & Fitness Centre Memberships. Other programs include one-on-one programs like Personal Training, Fitness Appraisals. These programs may be participated in at any time with the appropriate pass or purchase of a session.

Join our informal running group that will help improve your power, endurance & speed. We meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at the downstairs doors, rain or shine (or snow!). Stretches, warmups and cool downs will start and finish every workout.

Workouts are posted in advance near the pool desk or by clicking here. Call 613-798-8950 ext. 229 for info.


 

 
 

Alternating Classes in Group Fitness:
Many of our instructors alternate with another instructor for a given time slot & class. Some instructors also alternate different formats of class each week.

Fitness for young people: The Health and Fitness department is offering more programs aimed at kids and young adults. Existing programs have been made more accessible with lower age limits. Our Fitness Centre (weight room) is open to 16 yrs and older; and to 14 & 15 yr olds if accompanied by an adult (the Centre is not supervised). Inquire about age requirements for other fitness programs.

We have also created the
Youth Fitness Menu & Kids-n-motion programs. Teachers can engage us to add zip to phys-ed classes by bringing their students to Dovercourt, or have our instructors visit their school. Choose from a wide variety of fitness classes and our Aquatic Survival package. Call Billy Russell at 613-798-8950 ext. 242 or email brussell@dovercourt.org for details.
