New Date: Saturday, June 20, 2026
We got rained out on June 6, so we’re going to try again! Rent a space outside at Dovercourt (around the wading pool) to sell your stuff at the Wild Westboro Garage Sale. This is a fundraiser for the Westboro Community Association. We have a limited number of tables; tables and location are available on a first-come/ first-served basis. The tables are 29.5″ x 71″ (approx 2.45 ft x 5.9ft). Please, no baked goods. The rain date will be Sunday June 21, 2026.
Proceeds of the Westboro Garage sale benefit the Westboro Community Association and its projects. Your support is appreciated!

Climate Fresk Workshops
“Climate Fresk” is a citizens’ workshop that aims to raise awareness and understanding of climate change, and thereby encourage positive actions at both the personal and collective levels.

You can't fix what you don't understand.
Conceived in France and based on the science of the IPCC 6th Assessment Report, it explains the cause and consequences of climate change. It gives the opportunity to learn a lot in a short period of time and is meant for both novices and experts. More than 1.9 million people worldwide have participated in the workshop, and 85,000 have gone on to become facilitators.
In just 3-hours, the workshop calls on participants’ collective and creative intelligence to identify the cause-effect relationships between different components of climate change. As a team, you will be handed five sets of cards. When each new set is handed out you are asked to (re)arrange the cards on the table according to cause and consequence. The Fresk is revealed once all 42 cards are on the table. Team cooperation is very important and will get you from one set of cards to the next. A facilitator will guide and support you through the workshop.

THE STEPS of the WORKSHOP
- the introduction to learn a bit about “Climate Fresk” history and to do some icebreaker exercises
- the construction of the Fresk, guided by your facilitator
- the creative phase, to relax and get to grips with your Fresk, then a debrief on what you’ve learned, and
- finally to share your feelings and express your thoughts and ideas for individual and collective actions

The workshops are facilitated by Westboro resident Don Sproule and Knoxdale-Merivale resident Don Ball.
Fee by donation: $5, $10 or $15 (Suggested donation: $15).

A Company of Fools “Midsummer Night’s Dream”

a Company of Fools Sets Sail with A Midsummer Night’s Dream this Summer! Shakespeare meets sun-soaked Grecian shores, mired in mischief, with a dash of disco.
Pack your picnic blankets and prepare to sail away as a Company of Fools brings you to the shores of the Greek islands! This year, the Fools are setting Shakespeare’s most famous comedy against a backdrop inspired by seaside revelry, moonlit dances, and the toe-tapping energy of your favourite 70’s disco (you may feel an inexplicable urge to clap along, and we encourage you to follow that feeling!).
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a tale of love, magic, and mischief. The story follows four young lovers who flee into the woods, where they encounter a feuding fairy king and queen, a playful fairy named Puck, and a group of well-meaning amateur actors from the village. With a splash of love potion and a lot of confusion, hearts are tangled, identities are mixed up, and nothing goes quite according to plan. Dream is a celebration that reminds us that love can be unpredictable, absurd, and beautifully transformative. Imagine the musical stylings of ABBA and David Bowie, the passion of Love Island, and the cobblestone streets of coastal Greece all coming together to bring you one fantastical evening in your local park! From the costumes, to the sets, to a retro bike or two, this production is sure to provide audiences with 90 minutes of laughs, excitement, and maybe even a group dance number… Audiences can expect to leave with their cheeks sore from smiling and humming a tune all the way home.
Pay what you can; recommended donation is $20/ person.
