March Break Ski and Snowboard Camps - Drop off and pick up are at Dulude Arena, 941 Clyde Ave., just past Woodward Ave.


Safety Bulletin


Hill Conditions

- The Dovercourt Ski and Snowboard camps will be skiing or snowboarding as long as the ski hills are open.
- In the event the hills are closed for the season, options will be available for alternative day camp programming or refunds.
- If the hills are closed for a single day, the program staff will provide alternative programming. Refunds will not be issued.

Waiver Forms

- A waiver form is required from all participants.
- The waiver form requires identification of the participants skiing abilities as well as ensuring the participant has been informed of the code of conduct for skiers and snowboarders (reverse side of the waiver form)

Helmets

- Helmets are mandatory for the ski and snowboard programs. Helmets must be: snow sport, multi-sport, skateboard or hockey style helmets. Bike helmets are not accepted. Participants will not be permitted to board the buses without their helmet.

Supervision

- Supervision for the Snowcats ski program is based on close supervision and participants skiing with a ski instructor or Dovercourt staff member.
- Supervision for the Ski and Snowboard Adventure is based on loose supervision - Skiers and snowboarders are participating unsupervised. Dovercourt staff members are located in the Chalet at all times. Set check-in times are enforced. Skiers and snowboarders must adhere to all ski hill rules and regulations, instructions by ski hill staff and ski patrol members and directions from Dovercourt Recreation Centre staff.

Courtesy Call

- The Dovercourt Recreation Staff member assigned to the participants program will be calling the family account home phone number between Thursday and Saturday to provide program highlights. Messages will be left at homes with messaging services.
